Editorial policy

Updated October 26, 2026

Every guide on Queen of Victoria starts with a plain definition, then the rules, then the exceptions, then the questions readers ask.

How the guides are written

Our guides are drafted with AI writing tools. The drafts work only from the site’s own reference data (our dress code, event, silhouette, fabric and size datasets) and from the published sources listed at the foot of each page. An editor reviews every page before it is published, checks it against that data and those sources, and sends back any draft that adds a fact neither of them supports.

Facts and sources

We do not invent statistics, surveys, prices or studies. Definitions follow published style guides and standard fashion and textile references, and each guide lists the sources it relies on. Lead times and size conversions are rules of thumb, and the pages say so.

Independence

We do not sell clothing, and no brand or retailer pays to be mentioned. If that ever changes, the affected pages will say so plainly, and the advice will not change because of it.

Corrections

When a guide is wrong, we fix it and update the date at the top of the page. Send corrections to the address on the contact page.
