How it works
The decoder reads the wording you type and looks for the phrases hosts print on invitations, such as black tie optional, cocktail attire or garden formal. When more than one phrase appears, the longest and most specific one wins.
If the wording names no dress code, choose one from the list or pick the event, and the decoder uses the code that event usually implies.
The season and time of day add the notes that change an outfit, such as fabrics for winter or lighter colors by day.
